This unit is mounted in an American Flyer KC gondola. 

Operating on normal track power, the central high-speed motor spins the metal disc underneath the car. A Velcro-mounted Scotch-Brite disc is mounted to that disc, and cleans the rails without scratching them, as the car is pulled around your tracks.

Despite its weight, it runs with minimal drag, almost propelling itself along the track ! No liquid is used, and the pads are easily cut from a new thin Scotch-Brite sheet (available in many grocery and hardware stores) and replaced.

 Includes a 2-canister load, which hides the two weights. No canister is used over the motor to prevent overheating.
